Your <strong>Gmail icon<\/strong> for desktop should look like a letter &#8220;M.&#8221; Right-click on the icon with your mouse (if you&#8217;re using a trackpad, click with two fingers). You can also choose to save your new shortcut to a folder of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"6-add-a-gmail-icon-on-the-desktop\"><a><\/a>Add a Gmail Icon on the Desktop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;d like to go one step further and add a Gmail icon on your desktop after adding a shortcut to the dock on your Mac, it just takes a few extra clicks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"7-step-1\"><a><\/a>Step 1:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find the <strong>Chrome Apps folder<\/strong> with your Gmail desktop app. If you&#8217;ve just created your shortcut, this folder will pop up in the <strong>Finder window<\/strong> automatically.
